Cycling accessory basics

  • Carry an emergency repair kit:

A seat bag attached under the saddle is a handy way to store these items: one or two spare inner tubes, a patch kit, two tire levers, identification and some change for a phone call. Tools you should include are Allen wrenches (4, 5 and 6 mm), flat-head and Phillips screwdrivers and a spoke wrench to fit your spoke nipples. You'll also need a frame-fit pump or CO2 cartridge to inflate the spare.

Keep the bugs at bay:

While you are in motion, you won't need to worry about bites. However, once you stop, your heat signature is high and very inviting. We recommend applying Muskol® Insect Repellent Aerosol or Pump Spray Insect Repellents as they provide broad and even application. Avoid contact with synthetic fabrics. May damage furniture finishes, plastics and painted surfaces.
